Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage has been practised for around 4,000 years and was introduced as a contemporary therapy to the UK in 1981 by Narendra Mehta.
Indian Head Massage is a most relaxing massage incorporating the upper back, upper arms, neck, shoulders, scalp and face.
It is very beneficial for the following:
- Stress relief
- Muscle relaxation
- Disturbed sleep
- Migraines
- Relief from neck and shoulder pain
- Loosening of the scalp
- Promotion of hair growth
- Helps relieve eye strain / tension headaches
- Improves concentration
Hair oils can be used in conjunction with the head massage; these include coconut oil, olive oil, mustard oil and jasmine. Each oil has a property suited to alleviate different conditions. They will also nourish and condition the hair.
